The Vancouver Lynx bested the Austin BigStars by a score of 4-2, with left fielder Joaquín García getting the main credit. On the day, García went 2-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Lynx. Héctor Ortega earned the save for Vancouver, his 17th of the year. The win puts the Lynx at 26-43, while the BigStars drop to 43-26.

García contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Vancouver in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, García took a fastball from Sergio Guerrero and stroked the home run to right. His 9th home run of the season allowed the Lynx to leap in front, 4-2.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," García told the Vancouver News.
