5-Hit Blitz by Ogden's Thompson
The Ogden Raptors stopped the Provo Angels by a score of 9-7 at Miller Field, with the lion's share of the credit going to catcher Adam Thompson. The 23-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Thompson said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Thompson did just that in his 12 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Angels.

"Not much that I can say," offered Provo manager Corneles Cigano. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Adam Thompson struck out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Cliff Smith in the 6th, singled in the 9th, doubled in the 12th, grounded out in the 13th, struck out in the 16th, flied out in the 18th, singled in the 20th, walked in the 23rd, grounded out in the 25th and flied out in the 27th.

Thompson is currently batting .341 with 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 15 hits in 44 at-bats.
