Giddens Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
It was a parade of hits for Palmer Giddens of the Alabama Crimson Tide at Sewell-Thomas Stadium today.

Connecting with regularity, Giddens finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but the Hoosiers rose to the occasion and rained on his parade with a 9-8 win.

"Giddens was really good, we were just a little better," said Hoosiers manager Pierre Hamon in the postgame interview. "It's all right with me if he gets 5 hits every game against us, as long as we win."

Palmer Giddens singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
