Brand A's Dealt 4-2 Loss by Toronto
|
Brendan Lumby was a major factor in the 4-2 Toronto win over Daniel. The Red Birds third baseman went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The save went to Ramón Bravo, his 12th this season. The Red Birds saw their win-loss record go to 32-33. At the same time, the Brand A's fell to 25-40.
In the bottom of the third, Lumby had one of his most important at-bats: a 2-run single off Kawanari Sakiyurai that staked the Red Birds to a 4-2 lead.
"We played hard and won," said Lumby. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
