Arce Torches Mets for 5 Hits Wednesday, May 25th , 2005 It was a tremendous day at the plate for Valentino Arce of the GCL Pirates. In 8 at-bats, he rapped out base hits 5 times. Nonetheless, his Pirates were trumped, 8-7, by the Kingsport Mets. Valentino Arce singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, grounded out in the 10th, hit an RBI single in the 11th and grounded out in the 13th. So far this season, Arce is hitting .386 with 4 home runs, 18 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 27 hits in 70 at-bats and a .506 OBP. |
