5-Hit Blitz by Martínez Thursday, July 5th , 2029 All game long, Moss Beach's Luis Martínez was rattling the walls at Sportman's Park and banging out base hits against the Eureka Guardians. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Mosquitos had a 14-5 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 22-year-old shortstop said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Luis Martínez singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, flied out in the 9th and singled in the 9th.
