5-Hit Game for Vega Thursday, April 18th , 2030 Javier Vega exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Mahaney Diamond. The Cathedral right fielder had a field day in the 13-12 triumph over the Saint John Greyhounds, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Vega must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat.
