Rice Slams 5 Hits for Blessed Trinity Thursday, July 8th , 2027 It seemed Blessed Trinity Black Bears second baseman Dwayne Rice could do no wrong today, but it still didn't come out right. The Black Bears fell against the Mosley Mosquitoes by the score of 15-2. Rice did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but in the end, Mosley prevailed at Bakersfield HS Grounds. "I felt real good today, but my best just wasn't enough," Rice said in the postgame interview. "We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and put the ball in play well, and they fell in for base hits. Some days they do that." Dwayne Rice singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. Rice has collected 108 hits for the Black Bears this year, 12 of them home runs.
