Hitting Streak Still Alive for Hernández
Sunday, April 20th , 2031
The Chesterton Trojans fell to the Blessed Trinity Black Bears in Bart Kaufman Field today, even as 16-year-old left fielder Ramón Hernández upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games. Hernández finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Trojans from dropping the 10-4 decision.
"Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Hernández. Ramón Hernández flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Limón in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th and struck out in the 7th.
This year Hernández has hit at a .292 clip with 1 RBIs, 1 home run and 2 runs scored.
