Stinnett Selected Player of the Week Monday, June 7th , 2004 Veteran Kelly Stinnett had a great week at the plate for the Mets to capture the majority of votes for Player of the Week in the Eastern League. The 34-year-old Binghamton first baseman built a .409 average on the strength of 9 hits in 22 at-bats, 5 home runs and 8 RBIs. Thus far this season in 53 games, Stinnett is batting .289 with 16 home runs, 34 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has 55 hits in 190 at-bats. |
