Glenn Gunther Injured, Out for Year Friday, July 23rd , 2032 The season is finished for Glenn Gunther of the Illinois Fightin' Illini. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Fightin' Illini reliever suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Team doctors said it would take at least 7 months to heal. For the season his stats show Gunther has 1 save in 31 relief appearances with a 3-3 record and 2.90 ERA. |
