Robertson's 20-Game Hitting Streak Ends Saturday, July 10th , 2032 The Central Florida Knights got more than the 5-1 victory at Sewell-Thomas Stadium today -- they also put an end to the 20-game hitting streak of Alabama Crimson Tide catcher Glenn Robertson by holding him without a hit in 4 at-bats. After the game, Robertson seemed more concerned with his team taking the loss than with the demise of his streak. "I had some great looks at some pitches that I should have hit," he said. "I missed some that I shouldn't have swung at. All in all, I wasn't much help with the bat today." Robertson has a .336 average and a .381 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 79 hits, 19 home runs and driven in 61 runs. |
