Rosa Goes Long 3 Times Thursday, July 8th , 2032 Connecticut third baseman Raúl Rosa led the Huskies to a 12-3 triumph over the Mississippi State Bulldogs, crushing three home runs. "He's scary good when he's swinging the bat like that," said Connecticut skipper Felipe Rico. Indeed, Rosa put up some "scary good" numbers: three homers, 4 hits in 4 at-bats with 3 runs and 3 RBIs. "I'm just thinkin' about winning ballgames," Rosa said. "When you think about home runs, you very seldom get 'em." Raúl Rosa hit a solo-shot off Chiel van Zundert in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Herb McGarvey in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Patrick Bennett in the 7th. In the current season, Rosa has put up a .291 batting average with 55 hits, 8 home runs, 39 RBI and scored 33 runs. |
