Nicholls State Loses Matt Els, Will Miss Season Thursday, July 8th , 2032 The season is apparently over for Matt Els. The Nicholls State Colonels medical staff informed the club that the starting pitcher will be out at least 7-8 months with shoulder inflammation. Els was hurt in the game against Oklahoma State while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. On his stats sheet this season Els shows a 2-3 record, 6 starts, 27 innings, 16 strikeouts and a 4.67 ERA. |
