5-for-5 Game for Ellis
Wednesday, July 7th , 2032
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. William Ellis of the Seton Hall Pirates had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate today in the 13-3 win over the Michigan Wolverines at Ray Fisher Stadium.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 19-year-old first baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
William Ellis hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Ramón Romero in the 8th.
To date, Ellis has collected 59 hits for a .314 average. He has posted 9 home runs, scored 32 runs and driven in 37 runs.
