James Swings for the Cycle Wednesday, July 7th , 2032 Today at Eddie Stanky Field, Rice Owls center fielder Emory James accomplished a true baseball rarity, knocking a single, double, triple and a home run to hit for the cycle and lead the Owls to a 11-3 win over the South Alabama Jaguars. In a standout performance, James laced 5 hits in 5 at-bats and had 3 RBI. "I felt good before the game, I felt good during it, and I feel great now," James told reporters. Emory James tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Arnaldo Hernández in the 9th.
