Hit Streak Now at 20 for Robertson Wednesday, July 7th , 2032 Glenn Robertson has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Alabama catcher picked up 2 more today against the Tennessee Volunteers and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Crimson Tide won the game 4-2. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Glenn Robertson hit a three-run home run off Jeremy Heard in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th and singled in the 8th. This year Robertson is batting .342 with 19 home runs. He has scored 40 runs and driven in 61. |
