Andrews Belts 3 HRs Wednesday, June 30th , 2032 LSU Tigers left fielder Garland Andrews left the Michigan pitching staff in ruins at Ray Fisher Stadium today, beating the Wolverines 10-6 with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," Andrews told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the LSU left fielder had 4 hits in 6 at-bats, drove in 7 and scored 3 runs. Garland Andrews hit a solo-shot off Luis Vargas in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Rafael Ríos in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off José Ruíz in the 9th. Andrews is swinging at a .304 pace on the year with 16 home runs, 54 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has played in 67 games. |
