Hoosiers Roberto Cordero to Miss Year Monday, June 28th , 2032 Roberto Cordero of the Hoosiers just might have to call it quits for the season. The 19-year-old Indiana closer received a possible season-ending injury against the Creighton Bluejays recently at Bart Kaufman Field. Cordero suffered a torn labrum while throwing a pitch. The Hoosiers medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 4 months. To date, Cordero has registered a 1-3 won-lost mark, has 21 relief appearances and rung up 9 saves. He has a 3.74 ERA and has allowed 20 hits over his 21.2 innings of work, struck out 26 batters and walked 19. |
