Curtis Stretches Hit String to 35 Saturday, June 19th , 2032 Marc Curtis ran his hitting streak to 35 straight games today at Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth, when he collected 1 hit in 2 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Villanova Wildcats dropped the game, 10-5, to the Penn State Nittany Lions. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Curtis said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Marc Curtis walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jorge Díaz in the 3rd and struck out in the 5th. Curtis is hitting .391 so far this season with 68 RBIs and 52 runs scored. He has 79 hits including 22 home runs, 27 walks and .472 OBP. |
