Curtis Ups Hit Streak to 34 Consecutive Games Wednesday, June 16th , 2032 Marc Curtis continued his streak at Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Villanova third baseman was 1-for-3 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 34 games. The Wildcats were not as fortunate, losing 5-3 to the Rice Owls. "Curtis was hitting everything we threw at him," said Rice manager Tim Baker. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Marc Curtis hit a solo-shot off Joaquín Silva in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th and grounded out in the 7th. Curtis is swinging at a .390 pace on the year with 21 home runs, 67 RBIs and 51 runs scored. He has played in 55 games. |
