UAB's Jiménez Will Miss Season Wednesday, June 16th , 2032 A blow for Orlando Jiménez today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 8-9 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. Jiménez suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the UAB Blazers are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Jiménez's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. This year Jiménez has notched no saves. He has 16 strikeouts and 16 walks in 17 innings while registering a 9.53 ERA and a 0-0 won-lost record. |
