3-Homer Hat Trick for Richie
Friday, May 28th , 2032
Patrick Richie went yard three times in a Seton Hall Pirates victory over the UAB Blazers at Jerry D. Young Memorial Field today.
"I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit."
For the day, the Seton Hall center fielder went 4-for-5 against UAB with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Pirates to the 9-4 win.
"I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out."
Patrick Richie flied out in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off José Rivas in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Orlando Jiménez in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Vicente González in the 9th.
Currently Richie is batting .329 with 9 home runs and 31 RBIs.
