Benson Torches Bearcats for 5 Hits Tuesday, May 25th , 2032 Rob Benson was on fire today and sparked his club to a 9-2 victory over the Bearcats. The Maine third baseman was a tough out and went 5-for-5 against Binghamton in a fine hitting display. "I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody and some days they fall in." Rob Benson singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Jasper Bruggeman in the 9th. During the current season Benson is batting at a .308 clip with 10 home runs and 24 RBIs. He has played in 37 games and scored 35 times. View Boxscore |
