Trojans 1B Singleton Gets the Cycle Monday, May 24th , 2032 It was a quite a day for Clint Singleton at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium. He hit for the cycle, belting out every kind of hit there is -- a single, double, triple and home run. The Troy first baseman accomplished the rare feat during his team's 4-0 victory over the Tulane Green Wave. "I never even thought about hitting for the cycle and what do you know, I did it," he told BNN reporters at the postgame press conference. "The cycle really doesn't matter to me, it's the win that's important." Singleton went 4-for-4 in the game with 3 RBI and 1 run scored. Clint Singleton tripled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jorge Lozano in the 8th. Thus far this season in 36 games Singleton is batting .368 with 8 home runs, 30 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 43 hits in 117 at-bats. View Boxscore |
