Lee Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Cincinnati Monday, May 24th , 2032 Florida first baseman Hugh Lee experienced something against the Cincinnati Bearcats he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Bearcats pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 24 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Gators to a 4-1 victory at Alfred A. McKethan Stadium. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 24-game hitting streak," Lee joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." This year Lee is hitting at a .376 pace with 5 home runs and 28 RBIs. He has played in 37 games and scored 27 times. |
