Hedges Hits for Cycle Against Air Force
Thursday, May 20th , 2032
Getting 4 hits in a game is no easy feat, but doing it to hit for the cycle is even more rare.

Kane Hedges of the Saint Mary's Gaels pulled it off today at Louis Guisto Field, going 4-for-5 against the Air Force Falcons. His batting escapades sparked the Gaels to a 11-6 victory.

Hedges tallied 2 runs and drove in 5 during the game. Hitting for the cycle is particularly rare because of the different skills required - enough power for a home run, enough speed for a triple and enough patience at the plate to see at least four hittable balls.

"It just happened," Hedges said to reporters after the win. "Must have been fate or something, I wasn't expecting it. Heck, I wasn't even really trying for it."

Kane Hedges grounded out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Ángelo Roa in the 7th and hit an RBI triple in the 8th.

Presently Hedges is batting .271 with 23 hits and 3 home runs. He has knocked in 16 runs and scored 11 times.
