Gators Stop Boyd at 21 Monday, May 17th , 2032 Lloyd Boyd of the St. John's Red Storm came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats for the first time in 21 games. Making matters even worse for the left fielder, St. John's dropped the game to the Florida Gators 8-4. "It was not a good day today," Boyd told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over." Boyd is hitting .413 this year with 8 home runs and 24 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .445, 7 walks and scored 26 times. |
