Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Boyd Saturday, May 15th , 2032 Lloyd Boyd collected 2 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the St. John's Red Storm, beat the Cincinnati Bearcats 3-0. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Boyd quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Lloyd Boyd doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. This year Boyd is batting .429 with 48 hits and 8 home runs. He has scored 24 times and has batted in 23 runs. |
