5-for-6 Day for Montáñez Friday, May 14th , 2032 It was high-fives all around for Jorge Montáñez at Appalachian Power Park today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Marshall Thundering Herd. Montáñez smashed 5 hits in 6 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 9-4 win. "Jorge was hitting everything," said Eagles manager Rafael Medina. "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Thundering Herd manager Chuck Foster told BNN beat writers that Montáñez "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," the skipper said. "Hopefully, Montáñez oversleeps next time." Jorge Montáñez struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 10th.
