Golden Gophers Donald Younger Down and Out for Year
Wednesday, May 12th , 2032
The doctors have spoken and Donald Younger of the Minnesota Golden Gophers didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Younger sustained his season-ending injury during the Cincinnati Bearcats game yesterday at Siebert Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Minnesota medical staff reported Younger had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13-14 months.

For the year Younger has saved 0 games while posting an ERA of 3.72 and 7 strikeouts in 9.2 innings. His totals also include a 2-0 record in 5 relief appearances.
