Ángel Suárez Wallops 3 Homers for Thundering Herd Tuesday, May 11th , 2032 Marshall left fielder Ángel Suárez saw a fantastic day go to waste at Owen T. Carroll Field today as the Thundering Herd dropped a 7-4 decision despite a trio of home runs from the youngster. "It seems kinda odd, you know?" a somewhat dejected Suárez said after his club's defeat. "I mean, hitting three home runs in one game should be enough to win a game, right? I guess that's why they call it a team sport. Tomorrow I might strike out four times and other guys pick me up and we win. It takes more than one guy to get a win." The 18-year-old tallied three homers in a 4-for-5 day, and added 3 RBIs and 3 scored. "That guy really had a game, didn't he?" said Seton Hall manager Glen Hanson. "Luckily we were able to shut down the rest of the team. We are feeling good about getting out of here with the win." Ángel Suárez hit a solo-shot off William Barker in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Fred Poliskin in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Fred Poliskin in the 9th. So far this season Suárez has 5 home runs and a .216 batting average. |
