Lou Cordero Rockets 3 Home Runs Wednesday, April 28th , 2032 Rice Owls center fielder Lou Cordero left the Michigan pitching staff in ruins at Ray Fisher Stadium today, beating the Wolverines 17-14 with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," Cordero told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Rice center fielder had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 6 and scored 4 runs. Lou Cordero hit a solo-shot off José Herrera in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off José Herrera in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Rafael Ríos in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, flied out in the 7th and was hit by a pitch in the 10th. This season Cordero has hit at a .324 clip and produced 12 RBI, 4 home runs and 10 runs. |
