EC Manager of the Year Award Goes to Rice Saturday, November 1st , 2031 Club officials have reported seeing Lee Rice at the ballpark as early as 7 am. His dedication, coupled with a shrewd management style and a knack for knowing "who's hot and who's not" earned Rice the Eastern Conference Manager of the Year Award for 2031. "I guess you could say I pushed all the right buttons at the right time for the Fightin' Illini to have the season we did. But keep in mind, too, that I also had a group of dedicated ballplayers who played their hearts out. I thank them for winning this award for me." There was much joy in Illinois this season. Their beloved Fightin' Illini took first place in the Eastern Conference Big 10, rounding out the year with a 91-51 record. |
