Baysinger Gone for Season in Akron
Sunday, July 24th , 2005
Trent Baysinger will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Akron closer could miss the remainder of the year. Baysinger was injured while throwing a pitch in the Aeros-Mudcats clash at Five County Stadium recently. Doctors said he has bone chips in his elbow and would be out a minimum of 4-5 months.

To date this season, Baysinger has fashioned a 4.11 ERA and rung up 4 saves for his club. He has 38 strikeouts and 16 walks. Opponents have hit for a combined .274 average against him and Baysinger has a 3-1 won-lost mark.
