East Carolina Takes College Divisional Round 1 in Deciding Game Tuesday, September 23rd , 2031 In a series that had a little bit of everything, the East Carolina Pirates have edged the Seton Hall Pirates. The two rival clubs went the distance in the tightly-contested College Divisional Round 1, with a 1-0 win in the clincher being the difference for East Carolina and giving them the ticket to the College Divisional Round 2 with a 2-1 series triumph. "We never stopped believing in ourselves. When push came to shove we were going to get it done," said Miguel López, who was named series MVP. For the series, López hit .364 with a .333 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 2 runs. The East Carolina Pirates will play against the LSU Tigers in the next round.
