This Week's Star Player is García Monday, August 30th , 2027 Anastasio García is respected by most San Jose State Spartans fans for his no-frills style of play. The 19-year-old second baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Western Conference Player of the Week honors. He compiled a .500 average (13-for-26) with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 5 runs scored. Thus far this season García is hitting .368 with 15 home runs, 86 RBIs and 86 runs scored. He has 168 hits in 456 at-bats and has played in 124 games. |
