Garrett Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle Sunday, September 14th , 2031 In an outing that will go down in the annals of baseball history, San Francisco right fielder Arnold Garrett hit for the cycle today as the Dons marched to victory over the San Diego Toreros, 5-2. Garrett collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, including 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. He added 2 runs batted in and 3 runs scored to help San Francisco take the Fowler Park contest. "It was the last thing on my mind, really," Garrett said. "I'm out there trying to get a blooper or a walk or whatever might help the team. Even if I had wanted to, hitting for the cycle is probably as much about luck as about skill anyway." Arnold Garrett flied out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Terry Graves in the 9th.
