Hernández Extends Hit Streak to 25 Games Saturday, September 13th , 2031 Howard Hernández's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Cincinnati. The 18-year-old left fielder extended it once again today, this time bringing it to 25 games with a 2-for-3 performance against the Maine Black Bears. The Bearcats took the game, 3-0. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Howard Hernández singled in the 1st, hit a sac fly in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and singled in the 7th. Hernández is hitting .335 for the season with 10 home runs, 45 RBIs and 81 runs scored. He has 138 hits in 412 at-bats and played in 116 games. |
