Tamayo Gets 5 Hits Tuesday, August 28th , 2029 The Sam Houston State Bearkats swept past the BYU Cougars 16-6 today at Larry H. Miller Field, paced by left fielder Miguel Tamayo. The 20-year-old Tamayo got 5 hits in 5 at-bats, helping to down the Cougars. Miguel Tamayo doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Andrea Saia in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Tyler Pyatt in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th and singled in the 6th. This year Tamayo is hitting .258 with 15 home runs and 80 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .358 clip and scored 74 runs. View Boxscore |
