Wednesday, May 11th , 2005
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Adam Pavkovich of the Altoona Curve had one of those moments when he went 5-for-5 at the plate in his team's 7-2 win over the Trenton Thunder at Blair County Ballpark.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 23-year-old shortstop told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Adam Pavkovich hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
At present, Pavkovich is batting .322 and has collected 9 home runs, 17 RBIs, .375 OBP and scored 19 runs.
