Fernando Fernández Hurt, Out for Year Wednesday, August 11th , 2027 The season is apparently over for Fernando Fernández. The Southern Miss Golden Eagles medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 8-9 months with a ruptured disc. Fernández was hurt in the game against Villanova while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. In 36 relief appearances this season, Fernández has 2 saves. He has 1 win and 5 losses, 5.13 ERA and 30 strikeouts in 52.2 innings. |
