Colonels Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Wednesday, August 20th , 2031 The Nicholls State Colonels will soon be packing their bags and heading home for the year. The 2031 season won't involve a playoff run for the club, as Nicholls State was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today. Nicholls State last appeared in the postseason in 2029. This is their 2nd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 15 times in their 19-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Colonels have only made the playoffs once. Nicholls State last won the College World Series in 2019. |
