Gonzáles Blisters Memphis Tuesday, August 12th , 2031 The 5th time is the charm -- at least for Iván Gonzáles. The second baseman for the Creighton Bluejays hit the milestone today against the Memphis Tigers, helping his club to a narrow 10-9 victory. Gonzáles finished with a 5-for-6 line at the plate. "Gonzáles was a tough out today," Memphis manager Vincente López told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one." Iván Gonzáles struck out in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit an RBI double in the 11th.
