Sánchez Whacks 3 out of the Park for Oregon State Sunday, August 10th , 2031 Oregon State Beavers right fielder Lúcio Sánchez left the UNLV pitching staff in ruins at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field today, beating the Rebels 11-3 with a prodigious three-home run performance. "The last one was totally unexpected," Sánchez told reporters at the press conference following his big game. "I just wanted to make good contact, never thinking I would get a home run, and bang, I got number three." For the game, the Oregon State right fielder had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 8 and scored 3 runs. Lúcio Sánchez hit a three-run home run off Bill Arrington in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Fraser Ti in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Sun-jae Hong in the 5th and grounded out in the 6th. So far this season Sánchez has 13 home runs and a .261 batting average. |
