Alvarado Hits 3 Homers Against Michigan Thursday, August 7th , 2031 Carlos Alvarado brutalized the Michigan Wolverines pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 10-3 victory at Jay Bergman Field. The Central Florida Knights center fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Carlos Alvarado today," Wolverines manager David Reilly said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Carlos Alvarado hit a solo-shot off Luis Vargas in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Tjakke Alleyn in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Tjakke Alleyn in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. Presently Alvarado is hitting .212 with 6 home runs and 16 RBIs. He has played in 56 games and scored 18 times. |
