Robles Bashes 3 HR for Seattle Friday, July 23rd , 2027 Xavier Robles brutalized the San Jose State Spartans pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 11-5 victory at San Jose Municipal Stadium. The Seattle Redhawks right fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 4-for-4 with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "Too much Xavier Robles today," Spartans manager Roy Burns said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Xavier Robles singled in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off António Trinidad in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Ferdie Beerens in the 4th and hit a two-run home run off Ferdie Beerens in the 5th. This season Robles has delivered 102 hits in 300 at-bats for a .340 average with 31 home runs. He is getting on base at a .459 clip and his totals also include 91 RBIs and 74 runs scored.
