McQuoid Goes 5-for-5 Against Texas
Sunday, August 3rd , 2031
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Wichita State's 11-0 win over Texas today, second baseman Ezra McQuoid was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at UFCU Disch - Falk Field.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," McQuoid said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Ezra McQuoid singled in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
So far in 2031 McQuoid is batting .325 with 4 home runs, 18 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 37 hits in 114 at-bats and a .394 OBP.
