Heatley Crushes 3 Homers Against Air Force Saturday, July 26th , 2031 It was a good day for the Wichita State Shockers and an exceptional one for Wade Heatley. The 19-year-old right fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Shockers beat the Air Force Falcons 11-4 at Eck Stadium. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Heatley said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 5 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats. Wade Heatley hit a two-run home run off Tim Dean in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Tim Dean in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Ron Dugas in the 7th. This season Heatley has hit at a .293 clip with 29 RBIs, 5 home runs and 32 runs scored. |
