Year Ends for Pedro Durango in Portland
Saturday, July 26th , 2031
The doctors have spoken and Pedro Durango of the Portland Pilots didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Durango sustained his season-ending injury during the Saint Mary's Gaels game yesterday at Louis Guisto Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Portland medical staff reported Durango had a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13 months.
In 18 relief appearances this season, Durango has no saves. He has 3 wins and no losses, 5.75 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 51.2 innings.
